About Tondra Bullmastiffs

In 1972 Gary Anderson purchased his first bullmastiff Becca. She was a great dog and got the family hooked on the breed. In 1982 after a long search for a female to show and to start his breeding program with we ended up with Ch.Arborcest A Ray Of Sunshine "Bandit". "Bandit" was the first bitch to win multiple Group 1's and in 1 year she was the Number 1 bitch in the country, a Top 10 bullmastiff, and she was the Number 1 producing dam. She produced some wonderful dogs that are in many pedigrees of winning dogs today. She was the mother of Ch. Tundra's Pinewood Baron 1990 ABA National Specialty winner from the veterans class. Her movement and show attitude still shows through many generations later. The kennel name Tondra came about because of the cold Minnesota winters.

Ch.Tondra's Here's The Beef  "Angus" Three time All Breed Best in shows, Seven Specialty wins, Multiple Sweepstakes winner, Multiple AOM's, Number 1 Bullmastiff 1999, and 2000. Top Breeder Owner Handled bullmastiff of All Time.

In 2000 Gary's daughter Kara Anderson moved to Florida and married Sergio Gonzalez formerly Backdraft Bullmastiffs. Now Tondra is located in New Brighton, MN and Jupiter, Florida.
